COMMUNITY SEMIOTICS<\/p>\n

The art & act of producing, bringing an idea into form, involves both tangible actions & metaphysical intentions.<\/strong> We all have participated in and witnessed events where something magical & ecstatic occurs\u2014 and we leave having experienced a transformative moment; transformative for the audience, the performers, for those working the production…<\/p>\n

Over the course of producing events in a variety of contexts as diverse as section 8 housing complexes to the Hudson River, IgniVox has distilled a process and practice that aims to embody this radical magic<\/strong> in its work. We are developing this into both a teaching curriculum and a book.<\/p>\n

Improvisation: Multidisciplinary Templates for Creative Learning<\/em><\/h5>\n

IMPROVISATION: Multidisciplinary Templates for Creative Learning is an expanding resource in project-based, workshop centered educational programming for children, youth, and young adults in digital media, dance, voice, music, spoken word, visual, and performing arts.
\nINCLUDES: Templates for Innovation\u2028 workshops, master classes, demonstrations, and performances, curriculum development & teacher training.<\/p>\n

This is a community arts program<\/a> offering currently under development by IgniVox.<\/p>\n

Kayak Dance Troupe & Water-Based Performative Projects<\/em><\/h5>\n

Over the years of producing site specific events<\/a> on the Hudson River, we continue to be inspired by the untapped potential<\/a> of the Hudson as a performative venue. IgniVox has had a dream for many years of a kayak dance troupe, available for public events on the river. We have found a prominent choreographer\/kayaker who is willing to work with us and a Manhattan-based kayak company interested in a partnership.<\/p>\n
